Charming stay in Impruneta..

Stayed here for a long weekend as we planned our Florentine wedding.
The location is good with fabulous views over the valley and olive groves. Excellent service (we were upgraded which was very kind)! Comfortable rooms. To cap it all, their Diadema wine is great.

3 friends and I rented one of the 3 private villas with pool. This was a great value for 4 splitting the cost. The funishings aren't fussy but are comfortable. The receptionist was so kind and helpful. The breakfast was substantial and fresh, including wonderful fresh coffee drinks of one's choice... be sure to have a cafe latte! The place was clean. As in ALL of Italy, the beds were firm and the pillows flat and firm. That's not a complaint for Relais - that is the way it is across Italy! The availability of the clothes washing machine was great. The location is superb if you want to combine a day trip to Florence (by local bus...easy!) with countryside trips to Chianti wineries and hill towns. The view from the property is wonderful. The local restaurants were really good and within walking distance. Besides the Impruneta restaurants, definitely try Martinelli's in the next town over. Looks like a throwback from the 1960s but the food was really plentiful and delicious, and the staff nice. One is close to the main road so road noise at night was a little bit of a factor. But that is a compromise for being walking distance to town. If you want a really quiet experience at night, rent a car and stay at an agritourismo in the middle of nowhere. Or use earplugs like I did.
