Perfect selection

We just returned and are still missing it. I searched on-line for months trying to find the perfect villa for our family vacation. We planned to stay in Tuscany for 7 days on our way from Rome and on to Venice. I found everything we were looking for in Villa L'Olmo. From the time we checked in, the staff could not have been more courteous and accommodating. The rooms were perfect size for our family of 4, we had plenty of space in the common area to move around and the grounds were lovely. The cleaning staff came in every day with fresh towels and made the beds and straightened up. We even stayed at the villa for a day instead of touring just to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Eleanora was extremely helpful and could not have been more of a pleasure. She helped with every question, tour, direction, etc. The town of Impruneta is beautiful. They have great restaurants and a lovely town square with people milling about every night. The night we arrived there was a concert in the Square and we sat with all of the locals and enjoyed the music. We strolled to the Gelateria for delicious gelato and took advantage of 2 of their great restaurants. Even the Coop is close and very convenient. We even attended Sunday mass at the Church of Santa Maria - the fastest mass we've ever been too! Impruneta is a short, convenient 20 minute bus ride to Florence. We visited Greve in Chianti, Castellina in Chianti, Radda in Chianti (all along 222), Siena, Lucca, San Gimignano - all which were very close. We LOVED it and plan on telling all of our friends about the villa. We made the right choice!

We stayed here o two separate occasions. We were impressed both times: a lovely spot with a very calm feeling. Soothing for the nerves, especially for car travellers from Australia! Easter sunshine in Impruneta .. - London, UK

We stayed in the Relais Villa L'Olmo for Easter with our two children
aged 3 and 4 and had the most wonderful break from London. The Hotel is made up of separate self catering 'homes' on a hillside each beautifully decorated in tuscan country style with everything you could need from basic esentials to luxury elements. A couple of minutes walk away is the swimming pool (a couple of the rooms have their own private swimming pool) which amazingly has been surrounded at one end with sand. This was paradise for our children who played for hours while we lay on comfortable loungers next to them. Breakfast is served at the top of the hill on an open air terrace and the village has a supermarket to stock up on food. We ate out one evening with the children as the Italians are so children-friendly, however the hotel also organised a babysitter for us during the day as well as in the evenings. The beauty of Relais Villa L'Olmo is the location, only 15 mintues from the city centre of Florence but seemingly secluded in the Tuscan Hills with stunning views and a cool breeze. The hotel staff spoke English fluently and were able to organise not just our childcare but also trips to the nearby retail designer shopping outlets plus transport into the city and recommend restuarants for lunch and dinner. We felt a had a fantastic break despite travelling and holidaying with two small children as the atmostphere was so relaxed and we were able to spend so much time outside in the sun. I would recommend the hotel to anyone with or without children, it is a beautiful escape in a stunning location.
